Students Intern
I moved around a bunch in my early childhood years, but we finally settled back where I started my life in Allen, Texas when I was 7 with my parents and 2 sisters and 1 younger brother who sadly passed away at 6 months old. Growing up, my family went to church on certain occasions and big holidays, but I never really knew who Jesus was until by God's grace, I was rekindled with my old preschool friends in 8th grade. From there, I slowly began to come to church and through God's timing, the summer going into my Junior year of high school, I gave my life to Christ.
With the lack of stability that came from my family moving a lot, and schools being redistricted throughout my grade school years, I turned towards sports and how good I was at them in order to feel like I had a place to call home. I played every sport you could think of with a ball, but ultimately found soccer to be where my passion was. Fast forward to college, where I did not know what school I wanted to play at, but God chose UTD for me, where He really took control of my life. I was able to meet Micah and the rest of the College Life team at Citizens, finding a community to show me how to follow Jesus and show his love to those around me everyday.
Now I am finishing up a bachelor's in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration pursuing what God has laid on my heart through student ministry and my passion for soccer through the ministry of coaching.
My hope for Citizens Church is that we would be people who love people the way God loves us, being prayerful people, with the markings of humility, putting our brothers and sisters ahead of ourselves, with the goal of making disciples where God has put us, with the resources he has provided us.
