About Kate

I was born and raised in Allen, Texas. My parents took my sister and me to a Catholic church inconsistently, and my knowledge of who God was in my life was a far-off being who was responsible for everything that went on in the world. I was left confused in my desire to do good things for the sake of my own image and lost in the winds of what the world had indoctrinated me in.

It wasn’t until I was invited to a Christian camp during my freshman year of high school that the name Jesus sparked my interest, inviting me into a life of hope in my confusion and direction in being a lost sheep in search of a shepherd. God used my counselors to show me the reality of the Gospel, considering I did not grow up hearing about the hope that Jesus’ birth, life, death, and resurrection provide for all people. By God’s grace, I was led to Citizens Church in August of 2021, where God provided in abundance a spiritual family who have shown me what it looks like to live in God’s world in God’s way.

My Hope for Citizens Church

My hope for Citizens Church is that we will be a people who have the word of God inscribed on the tablets of our hearts. I pray that through abiding with Christ, we will be able to live out His word, wear it on our sleeves, and be citizens of the Kingdom, wherever God takes each and every one of us.
